This site is devoted to Political Hypocrisy.
Politician - Latin origin Many Faces
Hypocrite - Latin/Greek origin meaning "to play or pretend"
1/4/2012 - This will be the last post on this site as I don't really like trying to keep up with posting all the BS stuff that the elected officials do. The domain will be coming down shortly. 1/21/2010 - Sorry for the long delay, much has changed since I last posted. A massive earthquake hit Haiti and hundreds of thousands of individuals lives hang in the balance, a massive earthquake hit the Democratic party in Massachutes and now Obama's heathcare bill looks to be in the lurch.
Obama can try to spin the results of the election in any direct he chooses but this simple fact remains : "Liberal Massachuttes elected a Repubilican to the senate to fill the 'Lion of the senate' Ted Kennedy's sit" and there ain't not sugar coating that. You can't blame Bush for this but he is trying.
8/14/2009 - Well here we are talking about health care
Obama states that he wants a Single Payer system.
Obama states that he has never stated he wants a Singel Payer system.
I don't have anything to say to these videos but if the O wants to pass health care reform/overall/new entitlement spending then he will need to keep he story straight in these days where everyone has a cell phone with a movie camera.
Now in a news story the other day he stated that a single payer system would operate like the US Postal Service. Hmm, they are not known for there speed of service (think about Christmas and trying to get your package mailed while standing in line, not to mention my mail lady would lie about coming to my door when she woundn't but that's another story), quality of service (I have received items from friends that are smashed in route), they are closed one day a week and looking to be able to close 2 days a week. They are raising their rates every 1.5 to 2 years. Yeah that does not sound very good to me but I guess if spent time in a third world country as a kid (Indonesia) and heard stories from your third world country dad (Kenya) then waiting for an extended amount of time wouldn't bother you.
Let's talk about other government entitlement programs that are financially secure.
Medicare. Nope,
Medicaid, Nope,
Social Security. Nope.
Well given that track record I'd say "Bankrupt America, YES WE CAN!"
6/19/2009 - Well, it looks like the O wants to take over more of the private sector, if government wasn't large enough. The following is a list of government owned sections of the economy.
1. Auto - Obama tells GM CEO to step down, and lets Chrysler and GM go into bankruptcy. (US now owns 60+% of GM, Got to keep those union jobs.)
2. Insurance - AIG take over in the fall of 2008
3. Banking - TARP. The O pushes for Executive pay caps.
4. Tobacco - Obama places smokes under the FDA. (if government did not want it then it would be banned but they like the tax it makes)
5. Energy - Cap in Trade
Coming soon Health Care.
Hey, they US has done so well at offering health care to the elderly and the veterans that we should allow it to do the same for all. What a joke, when 42 million people are going to wreck the health care of the other 240 million Americans and bankrupt the country in the process.
In this NPR story about Howard County Maryland's launched last fall (great let's base the entire US health plan on something that's less then a year old). They try to make the arguement that the US should follow the same plan.
Here are my observations:
You can not base a health plan for the entire population on
1. Free Drug program from the drug makers.
2. Free speciality care from doctors donating pro bono work.
3. The system rations health care by limiting the number of visits one can see the doctor (each person who qualifies gets six or seven visits to the primary care center per year)
Mind you no one will defy the great little O.

What the congress just pasted the $104 billion war spending bill, I could have sworn that we got rid of those war mongoring Republicans and put in place the peace loving Democrats. Huh, well it must be an issue that was inherited. At least we are not sending 10 billion a month in Iraq like the O stated during his campaign.
5/21/2009 - Can't have it both ways? "In the last several weeks, facing the grim realities of his role as commander in chief, he has been forced to backtrack, seeking a political middle course on defense and national-security policy. The president has accepted military tribunals; asserted the state-secrets defense in court cases; and reversed a decision to release photos of interrogation sessions that led to the prosecution of American soldiers. He has maintained parts of the Bush administration's domestic-surveillance program, and refused to advocate a wholesale review of Bush-era polices on interrogation." Democratic Ticket on Military Tribunals and Guantanamo BayBarack Obama President-elect Obama says Guantanamo should be closed and habeas corpus (AP) should be restored for the detainees. He says the United States should have “developed a real military system of justice that would sort out the suspected terrorists from the accidentally accused.” In June 2008, Obama praised (NYT) a Supreme Court decision allowing Guantanamo prisoners to challenge their detention in civilian courts. He called the ruling "an important step toward re-establishing our credibility as a nation committed to the rule of law, and rejecting a false choice between fighting terrorism and respecting habeas corpus." In February 2008, Obama criticized the prosecution of six Guantanamo detainees charged with involvement in the 9/11 attacks. He said the trials are "too important to be held in a flawed military commission system that has failed to convict anyone of a terrorist act since the 9/11 attacks and that has been embroiled in legal challenges" (SFChron). Instead, Obama said, the men should be tried in a U.S. criminal court or by a military court-martial. Obama voted against the Military Commissions Act of 2006 (PDF). Click here for this candidate's position on other top foreign policy issues. 5/20/2009 - Obama and the Dem's stated they would close Gitmo if they where elected. And just day's after the O was in power he stated that Gimo would be closed by Jan 2010. While what exactly are you going to do with those at Gimo? hmmm, seems like the congressional dems are now seeing that there is a problem in their plan and they want out. That is why they are blocking the $80 million in the budget to close it.
Well what's it going to be? Close it or Keep it open? ...In a 90-6 vote, the Senate followed in the footsteps of the House of Representatives and passed an amendment deleting $80 million in funds from a war funding bill earmarked to close the Guantanamo Bay prison...
3/24/2009 - AIG give back the money? While congress and the president cry for AIG to give back the 160 mil in bonuses. Yet they them selfs do not give back AIG's campaign donations that they received.

The bonuses where to keep people in place for a length of time from X date to Y date AIG would pay Z amount of money.
The workers at AIG fullfilled their part of the contract and now the Demos want to take the bonus money back.
I guess it would be different if the workers at AIG where union members instead. No one person on the democratic party line is talking about the other 29.85 billion that went up in smoke. I believe that this is nothing more than cover for a president that can not perform. On another note:
"Stubborn." ,"Out of touch.","Incapable of understanding" the economic crisis. That's how Barack Obama and his presidential campaign team described John McCain last year when the Republican candidate famously said "the fundamentals of our economy are strong." But now President Obama and his advisers are adopting similar rhetoric as they try to build public confidence in an economic turnaround.
"Of course the fundamentals are sound," Obama economic adviser Christina Romer said Sunday.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/03/16/obama-team-adopts-mccains-optimism-economy/ During the campaign Obama blasted McCain's idea of taxing all employer provided health benifites as being "the largest middle-class tax increase in history". Now he is saying that he is open to that idea.
3/14/2009 - In a meeting Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) was speaking about national transmission power line. "We're going to move beyond one state being able to hold up forever something that needs to be done for the country," said Reid. "Whatever we pass at the federal level trumps all that." What about his home state of Nevada holding up the national repository for nuclear waste at Yucca Mountain? Looks to me that Nevada is holding up the national need for a single place to store it's nuclear waste instead of holding at hundreds of nuclear power plants around the country. 3/11/2009- 410 billion dollar stop gap spending bill with over 9000 ear mark requests. The ear mark that was requested by the president was altered to have his name removed from it. And he said that he was opposed to earmarks. What a lier.
2/25/2009 - Where to begin. The speech the president gave last night was full of hypocrisy. All the quote below come from the address.
2/20/2009 - The O. stated it would be 50 billion, then 75 billion, now with the backing to Fanny Maye and Freddy Mac added in it will be more like 275 billion.
2/19/2009 - With Obama's outline to save 9 million home owner's from foreclosure by subsidizing their mortgage payments. It reminds me of Section 8 housing (for everyone), just turn the entire county into one big housing project.
Least you think that this is just another bash the dems/Obama page.
Bush resided over a nearly doubling of our national debt from 5 trillion to 10 trillion in a span of 8 years. What a rip off. The current and next generation will have to pay this off with no say as to how the money was spent. The Paulson plan to spend 350 billion on failed bank stock purchases ended up costing us 78 billion in over payments. Yes the US gov paid banks 78 billion more in cash then they got back in stocks. Remember how Bush and Paulson stated (before the 700 billon TARP was passed) that the US tax payer may even make money with this deal. Good luck on that ever happening when we start from a position of -78 billion.
The reason there is not more examples on the Repubs side is that I just got feed up with the lies about the stimulus package just after the big Bank bloat called TARP and the Auto Bailout.
(Why should my fellow Americans who work for foreign car companies that have factories in the US (Nissan, Toyota, Huidi) have to have their tax $ go to support their direct competitors(GM,Chrysler)? Why doesn't this happen in all sectors of business? say tax everyone who works at Walmart and give that money to K-Mart/Target?)
So guess what, we have dems in the WH and Congress so they control the purse strings, they will get the criticism. |
